Welcome to Battle of Gods Wiki
Battle of Gods is a browser based massively multiplayer online game that combines both RPG and strategy elements.
Battle of Gods has a Flash based interface and a PHP / MySQL backend. It runs on most modern browsers (such as Camino, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari). You can also play it on mobile phones which can run Flash content (such as SkyFire).

The game
Each player starts the game as the ruler of a town of a specific faction. He also starts with a hero and some troops depending on the chosen faction.
Goal
The goal of the game is to become the most powerful ruler. For now, direct confrontation between the rulers is only possible in the arena. The game will feature other ways (through kingdoms) in which players can go head to head to become the strongest out there.
Factions and Heroes
The game currently has two factions, the humans and draugr. You start the game with one hero that belongs to one of the hero classes.
The World
The world of Battle of Gods is comprised of a series of maps that the player can explore.
Kingdoms
The kingdoms are currently under development. They will represent the multiplayer part of the game.
Game end
The game has no end. The game continues on and on. New players should start on newer launched servers to be able to catch up with older players.
Version history
Up until March 9, 2009 the game was in the alpha stage. On March 9, 2009 it entered the beta stage and was released to the public for bug testing and general feedback. On June 21, 2009 the game entered phase two of the beta stage by adding changes to balance current factions and heroes.
Forum
Players can visit the game forum in order to find the latest things about Battle of Gods. The forum accounts are created automatically when a player creates his game account thus having the same username and password.
The forum is a place where players can ask questions, report bugs or communicate with each other.
Financing
The game itself is free to play, however players can donate to reward the developers for the time that they have spent working on the game.
